UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR)
The UNHCR, or the UN Refugee Agency, is a United Nations agency with the responsibility to protect refugees, forced displaced people, and stateless people, and provide life-saving care. The UNHCR was created in 1950 and is guided by the 1951 Refugee Convention and its 1967 Protocol. This way, the UNHCR has effectively helped those who are mainly affected by several social, political, and economic conflicts in their country to reenter society with dignity, archiving the 17 SDGs published by the United Nations.
